Also note that there are two channels available to join on the server: #oolite and #oolite-dev. Up to recently the -dev one was the busier of the two. Not sure if that changed during the BB downtime, though.

Aw... I thought that #oolite-dev was a 'private' channel. I could have been hanging-out there as well.

Wow,
Indee welcome back. This time was a long time no bulletin board. I agree that we investigate in methods to prevent such a long absence in future. Something like a backup BB.
But it's good to be back again!

Hey PAG. I was trying to contact you to let you know about the chatroom, but I only found your Myspace page and there doesn't seem any obvious way to contact you from it. Is that right?

Myspace isn't indeed the best way. I communicated with DaddyHoggy via Facebook and also on Twitter. I didn't know about the chatroom.

Ditto, except I'm using Chrome, as in the browser, rather than a sort of 60s design ethic. I clicked on the link and the sum total of zip happened. What do we need to do?
Cheers,
Drew.

You need to install a 'client'... ChatZilla seems okay, as I'm using it, and I'd never seen a chat client before the new year hack. I think there's a variety for Chrome.

I'm a 'Jameson' when it comes to chat rooms, Drew, so probably not the best to answer.

Hi Drew, I've just done a quick google and it seems that there are no irc clients for chrome yet. Bummer. Do you use any other browsers?

I think
Mibbit might suit... see
here. I've seen several people on the irc using it.
