All super powers have a flaw… I accidentally deleted one of McLane’s posts, instead of my own, a while back… cue apologies via PM etc.

That's for sure... it's a shame that our world leaders don't fully understand this.

You have done a cracking job on making the Galaxy Guide a joy to use and read. I like the spinning globes. I don't know how you did that so fast. You almost wish that you have that for every planet. But that's a bit too much to ask :D

I just thought it a neat idea, after all, there were nice textures that were made to be wrapped around a sphere. placing a camera, getting the lighting (almost) right, an animation script and a script that wrapped around it did the job.

Easy. About an hour or two experimenting with the tools, and half an hour rendering. You just can't beat a linux system with all its script-oriented software when it comes to boring, repetetetetetive jobs.

You've got my email, so just draw up the textures and send them to me, and my computer does the rest. :D

By the way, all the Famous Planets have their spinning globes now.

Yours, Christian

I can't find Trader's Almanach on the Wiki...
Will the Galaxy Guide be continued for G3-G8?
