And that's my money off.
I wasn't sure whether we were going with forum names or real names here, so I put both down in the little box at the end.

I have a minor confession to make, here is the e-mail I sent to Mr Bell, when asking him to check his wish list:
-------------------
Dear Mr Bell,
As the chosen oolite representative, I have been tasked with asking you if you would not mind double checking to see if your Amazon wishlist is up to date.
I believe the link below is where you left it (I could be wrong, it is a frequent occurrence);
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/registry/1IU ... /ref=elite
With Christmas just round the corner (and from various forum rumblings) it would appear although we are not entirely secure; any immediate danger of oolite being
swept away in a flood of lawyers is reassuringly remote. As such we're in the mood for a celebration.
Also we've taken the liberty of taking those 8 maps made so long ago and giving them a bit of a dust down and spruce up. (We hope you don't mind).
Unfortunately these couldn't be completed for the 25th anniversary of Elite (and they do have some oolite bias to them, which could be altered very easily).
You will be pleased to know that these have been used as a blueprint for budding authors to follow in the footsteps of the late great Robert Holdstock's book "The Dark Wheel".

Oolite
----------------------------
So yeah the cat is kind of out of the bag BUT truth be told oolite has been ALL OVER the fronter forum for some time
http://forums.frontier.co.uk/
(hey don't take my word for it, search the forums we're running 2 pages) so arguably it was out of the bag down the street and shagging the ass off the female cat on the corner a while ago.
Can't keep a secret if everyone knows. Annnd as I'm hosting the maps so I'm the one who's going to have my ass kicked, in the event of legal death. Hell to it, I don't care, it's Christmas, peace on earth and good will unto men. I have to assume the milk of human kindness is still free flowing.

My books are all over the 'net too, and I've taken great pains to ensure they're listed a CC licensing. If the lawyers come then we'll just have to engage galactic hyperspace.
Somehow attacking the very people who are mostly likely to enthusiastically embrace Elite 4 (if it ever appears) seems a poor marketing strategy...
Cheers,
Drew.
