Well I'm definitely building it on 1.72, for the enhanced features and eyecandy.

Anyhow, you'll probbably would need to test-run each of them... or all at once.
Maybe even fix some typos that original authors left in.. (I sure did "fix" couple OXPs so far.. thanks to logfile)

No gameplay changes like farsun, or crazy buggy oxps like Orbs.
I think that depends very much how you define "gameplay changes".
Anarchies, for instance (just to take my own OXP as an example), is partly a "flavour" OXP, and could go into a collection together with Commies, Dictators, and an upcoming Feudals. But OTOH it changes the way the player bounty is handled, which could be considered as a gameplay change.
The same could be argued for many OXPs which many people consider good or essential. For instance all OXPs which allow refueling during flight, even in interstellar space. This is a serious change to the way you had to play before these possibilities existed. You could also consider player turrets a gameplay changing design feature.
You mentioned Farsun. What about System Redux, which doesn't only bring nice textures, but also adds additional planets and moons. Gameplay change or not? And what about Orbits? And what about Planetfall?
What about the OXPs that add a lot of traffic outside the space lanes? Certainly the presence of dangerous pirates outside the lanes changes the way you have to play your game. What about Save anywhere? A most serious change to what we were used to from Elite.
To say the truth, I don't really know where I would draw the line with each of those. There are of course some OXPs which I haven't installed, because I don't like the changes they bring. Others I have modified, like System Redux, where I like the textures, but not the additional planets. Others I do have installed, although they certainly have changed my gameplay, like some of the various refueling OXPs.
I think the bottom line still is that my personal "ultimate collection" would differ very much from yours; or any other player's, for that matter. So I still think it would be very difficult to arrive at a generally accepted collection.

Personally I'm quite amused by
No gameplay changes like farsun,
Ok, it takes 1 minute instead of 30 seconds to get free fuel, but 99% of the time it's more convenient to get fuel from constores etc, with or without farsun.
Or did I miss out on something huge there?
Still, if you want to do something "combining all the OXP" it would kind of miss the point if you removed the OXPs you personally didn't like, wouldn't it?
BTW: by all means wackyman465, go ahead and make your torrent - and do exclude the stuff you don't think fits in there, it's a free universe, after all!

I don't mean to insult farsun, but constores don't really like fugitives docking with them (I launched on a transport mission with about 100 tons of contraband). Also, sunskimming on a close sun is easier. But to make you happy, I'll include it.

wackyman, I think the "aaaall-of-them.oxp" is a brilliant idea, but I would wait until Oolite 1.73 comes out for real, because everyone and their uncle will have an update bonanza just then and all work you already did will go down the drain and have to be redone.
Also, if you want to include RS, I suggest waiting until its successor OSE is out (with luck, in about two months time), this would spare you a lot of time due to already being a merger of 165+ oxps.

There is of course another issue to consider:
The beauty of the OXP system is of course that every player can combine them to her/his liking. You install what you like, and throw away what you don't like.
And this would simply not work, if it was the other way round. Removing the things I don't like or want from a "contains all".oxp would be exponentially more complicated, difficult, and time-consuming than dealing with a hundred small OXPs.
Just my 2 ₢.

This isn't an everything.oxp, it's a full version of Oolite, with better documentation, manuals, and such than the vanilla install. I may have to do some rescripting to fix some bugs, but it will be fairly easy for people to remove OXPs they don't want, and similarly easy to add other, new OXPs. The idea is to present a more polished looking/feeling game for new players, so they will be more likely to play the game as they get an even better first impression.

I wish I knew from where does everyone get that you plan to do "all-in-one.oxp"....
Somebody should pay more attention... tsk-tsk-tsk.

Hey wackyman465!
Perhaps, if you like, a few more details about how exactly you plan to do this would be helpful, so that you get replies that are not based on misunderstandings about what you are actually doing!

Hey, no offence taken! I just didn't think it would make that much of a difference. Constores themselves do alter the gameplay: no penalties for slave trading can make quite a difference to some people's style of play.
I must admit, I was under the impression too that you really wanted to combine all the oxps together. I must have clearly misunderstood the

I think that having them in one OXP doesn't provide any advantage, and just makes it harder to customise and update.

Not to mention that the updates would probably become available in such pace that it would make it next to impossible to release one merged OXP that is up-to-date.

Exactly. Unless I could write an update program using the Mac OS application installer program, which, I believe, is a template that can be used by developers, right?... (Currently I only have the capability to create OUE for mac, but some kind person could download the file, then substitute the OSX version for an installer for the PC or Linux version and reupload it.. I don't actually know how the distribution folder looks for the PC or linux version, I'll look at it to see what's included.
