Drew,

if your mysterious planet was liquid water on its surfce (oceans etc) and some c02 in the air, then it will keep itself in balance and if it is the right distance from the sun and there is enough 02 (but not too much) then humans will be sweet.

now that you mention it, its not that easy to please the human body, is it? very exacting requirements!
