The Team's gone missing!
@Cody, Do you need this page?
It seems that @hiran has closed this data in order to improve the security of the forum.

I presume the "Team" thingy is a phpbb default "feature". If it's considered undesirable to display the usernames of Mods/Admins, then it'd be better to remove the "feature" entirely (if possible). Is it needed? No, not really!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I used the feature to dice what is (not) displayed. A feature to turn off the page entirely is unknown to me.
We may though customise the style - amd are not there yet.

That's only for new members/account changes, right? Some sites use a captcha every time you log-in (SSC being one example).

Do we need this?
If we put a captcha on login, then we can further extend the validity of the “Remember me” option.

I think we need to start by determining what is our biggest source of problems related to anti-spam?

Don't know! For the record, I dislike captchas... especially google recaptchas.

At the moment, spambots are killed as and when they join. There are busy days, and there are quiet days.
While Big D and I are active, they're not really a problem. First post approval helps, of course.

I want spam bots to be unable to register.
I enabled recaptcha v3 - I really want to understand whether this will reduce the flow of registrations by bots.
You can't make a post on our forum until you register, right?

Right! Then that first post has to be approved.

With the old forum, we were plagued by three bots - Google, Yahoo & "Majestic". These were indexing our BB and thus publicising us on-line in the respective search engines.

We now have two new ones - Amazon and Semrush.

Do they do anything useful? Or should we unleash our Spam Assassins on them?

Semrush is where companies go to find info on other companies and people. They provide us with nothing of use, just parasitic wasters. I have them banned on my companies web site. Semrush kindly provide a page for white listing themselves, which can of course be used to black list them. They say their IP addresses are these two ranges 85.208.98.32/28 and 85.208.98.48/28.

Amazon, well that could be some hacker using AWS but again there's nothing to sell or buy here so the sales side of Amazon should not care about us either.

That's may take on them.
