Thanks Ramon. I had missed that off :oops: but with the extra code installed, it still isn't appearing on the Press Space Commander screen!

Bear in mind that it will show up near-to-last in the order - you'll have to wait until all the normal in-game ships have been shown and maybe some of the OXP ships you have installed.

I usually empty Oolite's demoships.plist file (the one with the Cobra and everything...) so I can see my ships quicker.

you can (IIRC) use the arrow keys to scroll quicker through the ships at the intro. i think that the back arrow will take you to the end of the demoship list, so your ship should show up there.

in your shipdata.plist, you've now put

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">
<plist version="1.0">

at the top.

You haven't got a <plist> on the next line have you? because you don't need it as <plist version="1.0"> will suffice.

LittleBear sent me the scripts.

The shipdata.plist file does not specify a ship model, so no model will show up in the demoships section.

He has set ship_like to adder, so it will use an adder. Just to make sure though, I've sent him one back with the adder model specified in the list - it should now appear in the demoships list.

Ah, I must admit I don't think I would've thought of that. Incedently, is there any way of specifying a ship to have ECM_Hardened_Missles only?

(I don't mean to hijack this thread LittleBear, but I'm desperate to give a ship hardened missles :( )

Cheers, got you e-mails.

There wasn't an attachment on Selezen's, but could u post the code for the ship modle (or better yet post the whole Plist and I'll copy and paste it)!

Honest I'll stop bugging everyone once a can get Victim1 going, as its then just a question of cut and pasting, writing in some (hopfully) atmospheric breifings and coding up more and more deadly victims bodyguards and escorts, (and perhaps some of the earlier murdered victims friends will take revenge as the OXP develops or put contacts on you...) All can be done with like_ship!

I can do the mission script, just having problems getting my firts victim into Ooniverse!

I woudn't mind knowing how to have ecm-harderned missiles on a ship. A mafia boss hit in a (like_ship) increased specs Fer De Lance with a squardren of bodyguard escorts "Wiseguy Protection Cobra III" in like_shiped powered up cobras springs to mind... :twisted:

Thanks guys. Removed the extra <plist> and added the model. (i've checked Giles native shipdata, so I know where to cut and paste the models for other ships I like_ship).

The first victim of the Assassins Guild enters the Ooniverse!

Now just to check my script is putting him somewhere in the Orramaor System, where he can be hunted and killed!

After all the trouble he's caused me, I took a particular pleasure in retiring Be Soin!

Had to give him the ROLE victim1 as well as NAME victim1 to make him appear though.

Now, once I have the script for paying you working, I've got a working script for a simple hit that can be modified for the real nasties in this OXP.

Be playtesting this in flying your fully equipped Imp. Cor., so should be faily taxing once complete!
