Covering a spherical surface in hexagons makes me think. Is it possible?
Why do footballs have a mix of heagons and pentagons?

I suspect it’s something to do with being able to form a sphere with them. If you just used hexagons you’d either end up deforming some of the hexagons or not being able to get to a good spherical shape.

Imagine a cube, sticking full color stickers on each side with the image of an aquarium... :? :| :P

Is something doable, yes but it would not be truly 3d and you need copyright free 'stickers' images of (bio)domes or industrial-domes-in-space ,
depending how the astro domes are uv mapped results will vary...

Left i used eden-domes and on the right i used valley forge :wink: 8)

My examples are currently 2d engineered not actual gameplay...

Not yet. Some changes are tied into the Dictators changes and I’ve got a couple more things I want to get into that one. I’ll see if I can finish some things off today and get a test release out these.

But my latest.log is massive (all those oxps bunging in stuff): Your message contains 130713 characters. The maximum number of allowed characters is 60000. (Log file for merely loading game, only launching from Astrofarm and then immediately quitting!)

Ah, good. If there’s no more errors then I don’t need to see the log. I was just assuming there’d be more, because there is always something I miss somewhere!
