Re: BB Favicon.
Firefox has finally picked up the new favicon. Either it was the CTD I just had or the cache timed out.

Re: BB Favicon.
My Safari hasn't yet. Instead the default icon disappeared and I have now no favicon at all, just a blank space in front of "http://".Tricky wrote:Firefox has finally picked up the new favicon. Either it was the CTD I just had or the cache timed out.

Re: BB Favicon.
Here also on my two macs running Snow Leopard and Safari 5.x. Both are replacing the default icon by an empty space, what in my opinion, suggest that Safari detected the icon but can't display it.
My laptop with Mountain Lion has Safari 6.x. On that browser I had the new flavicon within 24 hours.
All other browsers (Opera, Firefox, Chrome) display the flavicons.

Re: BB Favicon.
I believe it is to do with the fact that the icons are in PNG format. [wp]Favicon[/wp] explains a bit more on this.
Example of what I use, includes example of an iOS feature for the "Add to Home Screen" option.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: Tab Picture.
That is probably the same icon as the BB and safari 5 now shows an empty space here also. When I browse through my bookmarks, it is only the Oolite icon that shows this behaviour. Something in it is not standard. Two Oolite flavicons that do work are that of the nighties at terrastorage and our russian counterpart.maik wrote:The wiki has one now

It is the same one. I'll look into it when I'm back home with access to Mac.Eric Walch wrote:That is probably the same icon as the BB and safari 5 now shows an empty space here also. Please note my post https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?f= ... ad#p202279 about the format of shortcut icons for webpages. PNG icons are not widely supported apparently, despite the claims of the different browser suppliers.maik wrote:It is the same one.
