And when they do eat a ton or two they multiply and start filling up your screen.

When they get cooked they start to shudder more often and scream. After that I always order ship cleaning service at the station.

Ok - I've always torched 'em the moment one comes on board, so I never had to deal with any of that.

First time i played Oolite (many years ago), couldn't figure how to get rid of it, and consequently, them...
The screams when i finally figured it out were glorious... (hehe)

I hear that some Commanders like to have one on board to keep them company. Just do not trade something they may eat and you will be ok. You may even try to breed them and sell. But that's is not legal from what I know.
