Maybe it's because nobody else regards themselves as fit to judge whether the Orion model is "acceptable".. Very few people outside Germany ever saw the show.Selezen wrote:Yeah, but no-one else wants to comment?? On THIS forum?

I have seen the first episode just today and my Orion is almost ready...Selezen wrote:Yeah, but no-one else wants to comment?? On THIS forum?

Maybe not. As Commander Wilmot pointed out elsewhere, cleaning it could be a problemmaaarcooose wrote:How about a flyable Death Star.

LOL, okay, I'll run with it. Like I said, though, someone else may want to do the texturing. For me, I would paint it as close to what I see in the pics, but it may not be satisfactory to others.Diziet Sma wrote:I think you might have to deal with a rather upset GGShinobi if you didn'tmandoman wrote:Awe, gee, shucks. Does that mean I should keep working on it? It's a pretty cool ship, for sure.![]()
Heck, I've never seen the ship before, except those pictures. Looks like you're doing great with it. Even if no one else says anything, just finish it for fun. I'm betting you'll get a few customers, though.Selezen wrote:Since I read the Orion post, I decided to have a go at a model. I've finished a shape and put the hard lines in the right place - opinions? If it's acceptable I'll start chopping it up for texturing.
Now THAT'S a gnarly ship. Are you going to build it, Smivs?Smivs wrote:Well, if we're B5-ing, we will definitely need a Narn G'Quan-class Heavy Cruiser
Selezen - Good looking model. I look forward to seeing it in game.Selezen wrote:Since I read the Orion post, I decided to have a go at a model. I've finished a shape and put the hard lines in the right place - opinions? If it's acceptable I'll start chopping it up for texturing.
This one... I think.Shipbuilder wrote:I've got a feeling that I should know this but which programming is thus ship from ?
Getting two instead of one is even more exciting.Rorschachhamster wrote:I have seen the first episode just today and my Orion is almost ready...The more the merrier, I guess.
Some excellent sketches and models, too.. In particular, see these pages.Commander McLane wrote:Some inspiration may be taken from http://www.orionspace.de, where you can also find renderings and pictures of models.
Damn it all to buggery hell. I built my model based on a Shapeways model, since that site has a rotatable view of each model. Obviously the tit who uploaded that model did NOT do his research very well. One would expect a 3D modeller who is SELLING stuff to be a bit more thorough.Commander McLane wrote:It seems difficult, however, to find good quality original screenshots of the model.
