This concept is the basis of one of my current WIPs. which although well advanced in currently on hold for various reasons. Hopefully we can get back to it soon.
The problem with the ship in the video demo is getting the Shuttle part to attach to the front, so the ship now being developed has a Shuttle module which attaches on top at the rear of the ship - you fly up behind the Mothership and attach to a platform as you fly 'over' it.
