It's starting to get crowded out there. If the devs don't open up Galaxy 9 soon, they'll have to devise a way to define inter-interstellar space.
Define? You can just have a misjump between 2 systems and have a script plop down whatever stations, ships, and even planets and moons you want.
Yeah, that's interstellar space. You can define interstellar spaces in a planetinfo file. But...
Switeck wrote:If that's not remote enough, have the script do multiple misjumps via wormholes. You can possibly end up solidly in the middle of a void with no systems within 3 LY if you plan it right.
That sounds like inter-interstellar space to me. Can you "plop down" planets and stations out there? Or define them in a planetinfo file?

Yes you can.

Bad Okti. That's not inter-interstellar space. That's common old interstellar space. I know how to do that.

If you mean a second or third missjump, that can be scripted as well. Not by planetinfo.plist but via a script.

I see your sneaky edit, Okti.

You need to be creative about that, to give a code example with out testing will not be easy. But in the shipWillEnterWitchspace event you can check for two systems and flag a variable, then on shipExitedWitchspace event you can check for this flag and and repeat the process by using different variables till you reach the desired inter-interstellar space and do what ever you want by script.

I rather like that.

Yes, that's nice/interesting. Well done. I too look forward to seeing it!

Progress continues despite the team getting a
bit distracted recently.
I have added this OXP to the WIP section of the
OXP table, and have continued developing the OXP in between other things.
One new addition is a Thargoid Courier ship, which is very fast and needs to be 'dealt with' during a new phase of the mission I'm adding in Galaxy Four.

I'm trying to work out the odd arrangement of the facets at the "front" of the craft (longer/thinner end) - I'm not sure I get it - but I do like the textures very much!

Ha, that's actually the back! I just took a rear-view shot to try to show you.

Ah-ha! Makes sense now I can see it from the rear!
