The 1.65 version in the Ubuntu repository should be removed (is that possible?), it's causing all kinds of grief. Must have had 3 or 4 people on the bb over the last weeks asking for help related to 1.65. I hate to think of all those who just gave up.

The repo's normally only have stable (non-beta test) software in them, hence why it's still 1.65.
But of course as we imminently (ish) have the new 1.76 stable coming out, the problem should be self-resolving as 1.65 can be replaced by 1.76.
