Yes, but they're not different to each other. Once you dock and press F8, you see "Constore Market" at the top of the screen, rather than "Sainsboory's Market", "Mall-Wart Market" or whatever. How many hours went into creating that Constore model, but nobody bothered to take a few minutes to do the finishing touches? It's those sort of loose ends that really spoil the game for me.

It'd make more sense if every dockable location in a system had a different market and some different ships and facilities available.
Rock Hermits and GalNavy stations are different from Coreolis/Dodo stations that are in same system. In Rock Hermit I swapped wine for minerals, gold and other stuff and swapped those in Coreolis station (in same system) for computers. It did make profit.

Tip for you, Matti: if you install Commies.OXP, re-fuel and re-load missiles at the factories instead of the main station. Being communists they are run not for profit.

I agree. It'd be like an energy bomb, but only kills offenders and has unlimited range, plus has unlimited shots so you don't have to buy a new one every time you use it. I like the idea! :D
Done

Nice one, Okti. Thank you. It's not quite what I imagined, because I don't see why the player should get any credit. But thank you for the script example. I will use it often.

If you want to change that, you could probably just comment out the lines that add the bounty to the player's credits...

Not for an equipment costing 300,000 credits

*laughs* It would probably take quite a lot of dead pirates to pay that back...

No problem for my Jameson test pilot, he started out with 3,000,000 and still has plenty left. He gets killed a lot, though.

Although one day I might go through it and count up the number of pirates versus traders in the ships' roles. Off the top of my head, my guess would be a 3/1 ratio.
Note, however, that this doesn't affect the number of pirates (or traders) in your game, only the variety of ships they use.

Their numbers in the Ooniverse are only determined by the political system of the system you're in.

Oh, and not giving Oolite the possibility of creating pirates would most likely result in Oolite complaining in your log-file.

Buy the equipment, and during flight Press shift n (N) to prime the equipment you bought and press n to use it.

Edit: Warning you must be over 18 years old to use that equipment :)
