I just pointed out a way to ensure we have documentation for all the artefacts. It allows a structured approach, maybe even distributing the topics over multiple forum members. The more exceptions you defend the more error prone the process becomes.

I'm afraid I am novice enough that I cannot contribute meaningful content for the pages, so that leaves the 'work' to you and more experienced commanders, maybe even the OXP authors.

I just wanted to say "Thank you". Your outputdir3 and wiki Index page have made what would have been a ghastly chore quite interesting and very fulfilling as I whizz through the pages. And greatly increased the quality of what I've done, too!

In the meantime I was also thinking a bit about the quality, and there is one more slight improvement we could do. Stay tuned...

In the meantime I was also thinking a bit about where we'd end up and found out that the index I have is not complete.
While I developed the parser I bumped into obstacles, and it was cumbersome to add all the exceptions I found. So rather than accepting all the spooky things I programmed the scanner to reject anything that looks suspicious - at the prize of eventually bringing less information.

To make us better aware, here is a new version. Not only does it cover a more up to date state of the OXPs list. In the output you find timestamps when the pages were generated, and also warnings about OXPs where indescrepancies were found. These cannot be simply documented away - they need to be fixed in the OXPs themselves.

And then, once I got involved, I discovered the community here, which has kept me going.

Thinking about Hiran and others who leap into playing the game with 150 OXPs (without having first spent years struggling with the Vanilla game), I think that having all 8 "screens" described individually with OXP alterations could be rather useful.

Thank you for thinking about it. Yes, indeed I tried to make most sense out of those screens but sometimes wished there would be some documentation to verify my assumptions or learn that there is more to it than what is evident at first glance.

Looking at the sample pages, I am missing a sentence or two about the gist for the screen. Such as:
F3 - Ship outfitting
Use this screen to check your ship's equipment and buy/sell from the available market.

It is unavoidable that these pages refer to a specific time. Therefore the pages meanwhile show the creation date in the upper right, and I am publishing updated versions every now and then.

My above statement is incorrect. At that time another change impacted that all pages were marked as found.
I will investigate to find a better reason/result.
