V1.5 release

:D Looks good.

v1.5 Release: Now with 100 ad slots! Added Cobras with AD-X Slimscreens - including a player version. Removed Anacondas and ad textured docks. Due to the way this update was done, the expansion should now put less strain on older hardware even though the number of ads has more than doubled. Reports on performance (especially compared to v1.01) are welcome.

I forgot to mention that the Tescoo Oxpress stations are also in this release - so far they're exactly like the Pi-42s except for the textures.

What an amzing burst of activity. Some fantastic Ads in the recent spurt!

Hope I've got time to get my last one in!

I really, really hope that v1.05 works on my machine! Haven't got time to try tonight - I'm uploading the contents of my wife's mobile to the PC via bluetooth one photo at a time :roll: which is tooth pulling type pain!

All my little fingers and toes are crossed!

Small warning: This OXP is a shipping hazard. I just jumped from Erlaza to Onrira, and exploded even before the witchspace rings had cleared. Materialized right on the advert board. Boom. Press space. Get repaired at Barry's Dry Docks. Haha.

@Brianetta: The odds against that happening must be extremely small - or else I've been extremely lucky. Hasn't happened to me ever - and I've made hundreds of jumps into systems with screens at the witchpoint. I'll take into consideration whether to move them further toward the planet.

Pros:
Even less chance of jumping straight in front of one.
Greater chance that they appear in front of you - they are often behind me when jumping in - and who turn around to look at ads (in the real world, that is)?

Cons:
Buoys rotate in a nice way :D

Just one of those oddities I think!

One of the Assassins playtesters reported that 5 times in a row he'd materialied right on top of one of the minesweeper satilites I'd put by the w/s becaon during the duel mission. Not something anybody else hit though. :?

I was actually a bit surprised by it not happening more often with the witchpoint screens - this is the first time I've heard of it happening and it is after all a 1x.5 km object spinning around - I guess that anything that size will kill most ships it hits. :?

Duel mission..?

:lol: Sounds interesting. Perhaps I should look for some more Assassins spoilers instead of trying to avoid them - they may well be what is needed to make me start playing again and get out of that Gilesforsaken corner of Galaxy 4, where I've been doing most of my business from for months.

Off topic, but if you have a look on the Wiki here:- http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Powers ... laxy_Seven, there are some background rumours to the stuff Added by the OXP.

There are no spoilers as to what will actually happen, this information is just meant as the sort of thing every Commander knows by watching the Holo-News and hanging out in space bars. Many of the real powers in Galaxy 7 are not mentioned here as the ordinary "outsider" does not know about them... :wink:

I thought perhaps "a thargoid in your tank" might have been from their rivals - "Oosso" or is it "Essoo" I can never remember.... :)

I've got one more in me I think but perhaps will miss out... :(
