I don't know what to say, as I don't even know what/which software you mean by "AVS".

For those with similar issues to KW - I've downloaded and reuploaded to my Photobucket account: http://s292.photobucket.com/albums/mm21 ... %20Entity/

Below is a little taster... (I'd like to know which OXPs created this effect!)

Hope this is OK Switeck?

Generic TLA* for, I think, Anti-Virus Software

*TLA Three Lettered Abbreviation

Fascinating pics, aren't they... I was looking at them earlier via irc.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Okti's OneWayTicket2Oresrati OXP uses those Cobra 3's to make wormholes. Normally it only needs 1 per jump, but if for some reason it is blocked...it will create more, LOTS more!
I was inadvertently testing the effects of a player ship with a very high density -- ALL nearby ships were blocked from making hyperspace jumps.
The real shocker is the number of Cobra 3's "summoned" happens in only a couple seconds. More are made probably as fast or faster than your frames-per-second rate.
Much to my dismay, although my ship had the density to block hyperspace jumps it was not tough enough to survive ramming 1 Cobra 3.

I've heard numerous instances of NOD32's false positives to trust it.
But...if visiting a weblink triggers it, it's presumably using some sort of hacking/spam protection rather than being a classic antivirus program.
And I didn't offer a vid link, it was a link to download all the pictures as a .zip file...so I'm not sure exactly what you're clicking on to get a vid link in the first place...sorry. :?

Depends on where/at which point NOD32 blocks the link, its possible without all the correct info from the link that its being misinterpreted as a video.

Firefox does this to me sometime - gives me bizarre choices to open files that clearly can't be opened with the suggested app.

You probably just fell victim to the (not just) mildy annoying nature of mediafire. They throw so much advertising on the download page that it is quite easy to completely overlook the actual download link and click on something completely different which you're not interested in at all.

I'm long past sick of the flood of commercial spamming all over my internets, but it no longer bothers me so much. My not-so secret weapon for fighting back: Firefox with it's addon Adblock Plus.

Some sites don't like that, but to them I say bit me and cry me an ocean - it's my prerogative to opt out of the ad pollution, and so I shall.

He - it's currently a experiment to see how much can be done without causing FPS drops. I've used two groups battling each other - all in all around 100 ships and only if the bigger ships are close and heavy collision detection has to be done the Framerate is pretty stable at the usual rate (60 with VSync) on my machine. Probably I'll reduce the numbers a little bit to get some headroom (and room for other OXPs) before using it for LH2.

I'm also pretty happy that Disembodied has joined the team - he will write the story. Cool! It will be a big challenge to bring the elements together, but I'm sure it's worth the efforts.
