Nearly finished, just two more galaxies to go.

Should be complete some time this afternoon but remember this version will only work on Oolite 1.71

I bought a copy of Gran Turismo 4 (since it was only 15 quid) so that's taking up most of the spare time i would be putting to use on this...

I bought a copy of COD4 for the PS3 but after a very short period time I was drawn back to Oolite for some reason.

It just goes to show that graphics aren't everything, but I still feel that improving the look of Oolite is a worthwhile thing to do.

The latest version of System Redux can be downloaded from my signature.

Is it possible to assign an alternative main station for each system?

e.g.
Lave = Griff Coriolis
Riedquat = Gritty Coriolis
Leesti = Globe Station

Yes, in planetinfo.plist as well. Have a look at tori.oxp for reference. In there stations in a couple of systems are replaced with torus stations.

Thanks Commander McLane, that's just what I was looking for. :)

Nice work.
Look forward to seeing it, when 1.71 is on general release anyway ;-)
(Not quite sure what exactly I have to download from belios in order to compile a fully working test release)

No offence but I do not think that it was very wise to publish an only 1.71 oxp since this version is not available officially (unless you can build from source).

This way the only thing that you can achieve is to increase the pressure from the community to the dev team. Not so wise since the more the pressure the more the bugs in the official 1.71 test release.

Please do not take it as a personal offence (this is not my intention).
I am definitely sure that you can see my point. It is better for all of us to wait a little bit more and finally have a somehow semi-stable release.

By the way your oxp is perfect but I would preferred it if the moons and extra planets would be less frequent in their appearance (something like a rare eye candy in specific systems)
Carry on the good work captain :D

I use a Mac ;-)

Thanks anyway though.

Think I'll just wait for a release that all the developers agree is stable and (mostly) bug free.

No, your right. Sorry but I got a bit carried away! :oops:

For version 1.70 copy the file below in to your System_Redux/Config folder
script.js

In the script.js change the lines below as required

Code: Select all

// Set the required number of moons and planets here (from 0 to 4)
this.max_moons = 2;
this.max_planets = 4;

There is not such a thing like a bug free application.
I am sure that 1.71 when it comes out will have its own bugs but i hope nothing as deadly as the 1.70 crushes (pc version) and mem leaks

Reason right there why I hopped onto 1.71... wasn't lovin' the system lockups due to the memory leak.
Just have to skip back to 1.70 to before I jump into the target system for my random hits.

I do not think so
I am sure that little bear will not waste time once (and only!!!) 1.71 will be released (passive modivation :wink: )
