A teaser shot of the part textured prototype GalTech Escort Fighter currently being developed for future release.
There is still quite a bit of work to go in to the texturing but it gives a good idea of the ship that I intend to use for the GalTech Tanker escort.

lovely ship design - it looks really tough - i don't think i'm going to mess with any tankers if that's going to be hanging around like some sort of surly nightclub bouncer

Nice model, Shipbuilder .-)
I'm currently working on a small addition for the Vector.oxp. Some pixelwork is still to do though...
The main model uses v 523 / f 1000, diffuse, normal and emission map a 512x512.
The lasers are a adpation from CCL (only raised the radius for better visibility) and are controlled by a script (length and position).

All those lasers.. they look like they're designed to turn a ship into french-fries..

No worries, just there for scanning incoming ships... ...although the controller may be a bit sloppy sometimes...
