57.10 Acceptable Use; Safety-Critical Systems. Your use of the Lumberyard Materials must comply with the AWS Acceptable Use Policy. The Lumberyard Materials are not intended for use with life-critical or safety-critical systems, such as use in operation of medical equipment, automated transportation systems, autonomous vehicles, aircraft or air traffic control, nuclear facilities, manned spacecraft, or military use in connection with live combat. However, this restriction will not apply in the event of the occurrence (certified by the United States Centers for Disease Control or successor body) of a widespread viral infection transmitted via bites or contact with bodily fluids that causes human corpses to reanimate and seek to consume living human flesh, blood, brain or nerve tissue and is likely to result in the fall of organized civilization.

Thankfully it doesn't prohibit the use of Lumberyard equipment, so come the Zombie apocalypse, me and my chain-saw will be ready...

Can I still use Lumberyard Materials in the event of a dinosaur-like creature rising from the depths of the ocean and walking around in the city, demolishing everything on its way?

Can I? What do their T&Cs say about it?

On a more serious note, this should probably qualify for Quote of the Decade.

Tough one to follow, certainly. Perhaps Oolite should have some spoof T&Cs?

"Things just started to unravel," says Warshaw. "It's awesome to be credited with single-handedly bringing down a billion-dollar industry with eight kilobytes of code. But the truth is a little more complex."
So says the man who made 'the worst video game in history' - article here.
"I was stunned," says Warshaw. "Here was Steven Spielberg, one of my idols, suggesting that I knock off the game! My impulse was to go, 'Well, gee, Steven, couldn't you make something more like The Day The Earth Stood Still?"

Whittingdale also opened fire on ad blocking companies, comparing them to a “modern day protection racket”.
So says the Minister for Fun!

Yes, a refusal to have blandishments for crap thrust upon you from every angle is downright unpatriotic. On that note, I look forward to the day when "must-see TV" is made compulsory ...

The way I see it, the whole point of an advert is to try and persuade people to buy a product. If internet advertisers can't even persuade people to watch their adverts - to the point that people are going out of their way and installing blockers to avoid them - then they're clearly not up to the job, and companies shouldn't waste their money on such things.

Smivs wonders where you get ad-blocking software from - is it advertised on the internet?

Sorta - somebody writes an article complaining about ad blocking software, which acts as free advertising for ad blocking software.

Karma, really!

Added to that, non-internet adverts are not generally risky to view, whereas malware delivery by ad network is incredibly common. I don't have an ad-blocker as such, but the security addon for my browser functions as a highly effective one by blocking 3rd-party Javascript by default.
