Re: Screenshots
Looks like a displacement shader. But without alpha blending it will look a bit strange.

Re: Screenshots
See my pic in this post... the moon visible just above the instrument panel shows a ghost image as well. Seems to always happen.

Is that my favorite planet from G2, that has some spectacular views? I'm afraid I forget the name...

Re: Screenshots
I hunted down one of Griff's Cobra/Missile combos... they do look tasty:
I've got that same faint wireframe ghost on them again, and I think there's some over the planet's surface.

Re: Screenshots
And here's a pic of it launching the second of its missiles in a vain attempt to stay alive:
I let it launch the others at me, then I splashed it... it was a fugitive, officer.

Re: Screenshots
Just a little fun from a dogfight today.
Oh, look! A couple Thargoid warships!
Let's get a closer look. Umm, is that graffiti or maybe some battlescars on its hull?
Looking closer, def a texture on those hulls. Wonder what those alien parts on those ships do, anyway?
No, that didn't end up a collision. I slipped just under him, looped back around while my laser got a few seconds to cool and then finished him off. Actually, I had to loop twice since his buddy was blocking the shot first time around. You don't really want to change targets in a fight. Finish one before you start on another, since a wounded ship can still shoot, and one opponent is better for your shields than two. On a mildly interesting note, the second ship seemed to take a bit of damage from being close to the first one when it blew.
But that first pass was probably within 100 meters or so before I broke low to come around for another pass. Can't really tell when you get that close because the range display on the HUD/reticle moves out of the field of vision. But a nice close look at a Thargoid warship, anyway.
I've been trying something different for screenshots, pausing the game and turning on a screen recorder so I can get a video of the action and then taking the pics later when I'm not busy flying and shooting.

Re: Screenshots
love that Cobra. on an aesthetic point tho, i would prefer the missiles to be lighter so that they stand out, purely for eyecandy purposes.
Re: Screenshots
As Griff makes more models, might I suggest colour coding the missiles. Some guidelines can be found at http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ ... 3/appf.htm If the coding is made distinct, it will have the added bonus of making them stand out.Killer Wolf wrote:love that Cobra. on an aesthetic point tho, i would prefer the missiles to be lighter so that they stand out, purely for eyecandy purposes.
