Re: Screenshots
First launch with Oolite 1.75... straight into a glorious firefight in station space. Much booty and this shady character scooped:

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: Screenshots
Is it from an OXP? I think the engine uses uppercases for species descriptions ("Human Colonial") and lowercases for "credits" (or these days the ₢ sign).

Re: Screenshots
The only OXP that I have that could affect that is BGS, but I don't think it's that. (too many 'thats')

Re: Screenshots
You're right, it's a new feature of 1.75.
We had some discussion about capitalization of the species strings for localizations, I remember, because in different languages it's handled differently. However, I hadn't thought that it had been de-capitalized in English. (The string in descriptions.plist is still 'Human Colonial'.)
The 'Credits' are definitely wrong, I think. Or do we use it as a proper noun?

I think it's right in that context, but shouldn't be capitalised (nor should the 'human colonial').Commander McLane wrote:The 'Credits' are definitely wrong, I think. Or do we use it as a proper noun?

Re: Screenshots
'Human Colonial' does look good in the system description, but for normal sentences shouldn't be capitalised.
'Credits' - however - slipped through the QA department, &heads will roll is being corrected to read 'credits'.

Re: Screenshots
Time for another screenshot.
With all the 'action' shots here it's easy to forget that sometimes slow is good.
An anaconda and her escorts majestically heading planetward.

My Multi Decal Cobra by Griff (There seems to be a problem with the laser, it's not showing). Still nice though.

Edit: Turns out that the laser comes back after running maintenance on the ship. (Obviously too many firefights)

There are four missile bays just crying-out for frangible missiles (as mentioned elsewhere) on the belly of that ship.

Take-off from a planet against the backdrop of the sun and a buoy repair station. (If you look closely you'll even see an astro-factory orbiting the sun, and an Anaconda headed for the buoy repair station just above my ship's stern.)

Seems you have a problem with imageshack. I have no idea why. For the last screenshot try the direct link: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/82/againstthesun.png
