I endorse this too, because when the year is fully spelled out (2015) there is little doubt what format is being used.

Me too - in my country this form is the usual.

I'm stuck somehow, or I've understood something wrong. There are OXPs to be stored as sub folders in the AddOns folder, and there are managed OXZs stored as OXZ files in ...\ManagedAddOns. The latter have special file names always beginning with "oolite.oxp.", followed by the author's name and the OXZ name (as specified in manifest.plist).
But many OXZs are available for download without using the add-on manager, an that's how I would like to start. These files don't have names like described. Until now I've unzipped these OXZ files into the AddOns folder and used them as OXPs, because I wanted to have a look at or tinker with them. But there must be an easier way!
So my question is: Where I should store a manually downloaded OXZ file?
Edit: Forget it, I found it on the wiki.
