Can we interest you in some innovative jams and marmalades?

I've had a word, and Mark Carney assures me that the Old Lady of Threadneedle Street holds ample reserves of chutney!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

I hear it is now made from polymer so it lasts longer and is harder to counterfeit.

Of course, it's possible that all this jam stuff might just be a smear campaign.

However, chutney laundering remains a major problem!

Actually, you might want to wait a bit … Sterling just dropped 6% in a "flash crash" in Asia, and Sterling is now trading at below €1 in some airports. Who knows what your Euros might buy tomorrow?

Automated buying and selling of shares/currency - what could possibly go wrong?

In other news: HMMLO assembles a dream team - what could possibly go wrong?

A consultation gets under way next week on plans for a second Scottish independence referendum, the SNP's Nicola Sturgeon has confirmed.

First they came for the Marmite, and I did not speak up, because I hate Marmite.
Don't panic about the impending Marmite shortage. Simply make your own by mixing a rotting fox carcass with some tar.
(All in relation to this story, for our non-UK readers.)

That's very kind, thank you.
Unfortunately the critical shortages affecting the UK at the moment seem to be common sense and, I'm afraid, common decency. How on Earth do you combat the ignorance, stupidity and xenophobia that seem to be the hallmarks of this sorry affair?
