Aww damn.. just realised that here in Brisbane, Aust, the show goes live at oh-my-god (0600) in the morning Friday, just as I'm heading out the door to work, and ends about half an hour after I get to work.. thank goodness for the playlists.
Why do you all have to live on the wrong side of the planet?

Thanks for the offer
. I'll be bringing Mrs SandJ, too. Expect us by the end of the week. Do we need to bring anything, besides a slab of tinnies?

I'll wait till the temperature in Norway again drops below zero (although it did snow on Saturday). Gives you some time to plan ahead. There are 5 of us, no pets.

SandJ is welcome, as at least he appears to understand Aussie protocols..

I paid attention to Sir Les Patterson and Kevin "Bloody" Wilson taught me everything else I need to know.
Edit: I hadn't realised it is
Kevin's final UK tour this year; I'll definitely be going to that.

I'm technically still Australian... still more than a year to go before I'm even a permanent-resident Pom, despite having been here eight years (long, boring story). I know the protocols but my witch drive is busted.

I'm technically still a Pom.. Been a permanent resident in Oz since '66, though.. and could not imagine calling any other place 'home'..
Holding up under the "weather" ok, I take it?

Spent no small part of the weekend in a tent on Salisbury Plain, getting rained on, now that you mention it.
Downside: not much skydiving. Upside: I brought this here laptop and got to play Oolite instead

Reasons XML file formats are awesome #57:
Dumping your save file to a terminal to look at it.
Then, cleaning out various bits and pieces, you make a slip of a shell substitution (beware !$ in the wrong terminal in a hurry) and delete it!
No, you don't have backups.
But, you do have copy and paste!
Disaster and dropping Oolite in despair (on the upside, I do have an almost unplayed install of Avadon: the Black Fortress kicking around) averted.

Hi Guys - I wondered if you can tell me if it is normal for a PM to stay in your outbox for approximately 2 hours.
I sent a PM earlier this afternoon and have just checked - it is still in the outbox !
