Unfortunately there’s no magic technique, just lots of cutting, pasting and flood filling. It's going to be a long time before I get anywhere near the 256 seperate textures I was hoping for.

Deep Horizon - System Redux 2, Moon5.PNG actually. I like the look. Reminds me of one of the moons of Saturn (IIRC)...

In the absence of another_commander's pics, here's one of a Griff Constrictor... an angry one:
Difficult ship to track down... it's always moving too damn fast.

Forty four cube map planet textures complete. here's the planet generator I use to assign a specific texture to a system.

Looking really good, CaptKev... is that just two hundred and twelve to go?

Beautiful! I admire your ability to come up with so many different planets, with such a variety of 'looks'.

Thanks for the encouragement guys.
@El Viejo, I will probably settle for 128 home planets, 32 moons and 32 additional planets. Then again I might get bored and only do 64!

Nice,
Looking very good.
Will you blend with my FP2.5 oxp?
EDIT:
I just see that Entizadi is in Fp2.5. Maybe we can merge our oxp's?

Thanks PAGroove. Yes I will make version 1.3 of System Redux compatible with version 2.5 of Famous Planets using the global variable method Eric has mentioned.
I would want to have a standalone version but have no problems with combining SR1.3 with FP2.5, but it would be a very large download.

A screenshot (my new desktop actually) I would like to share,
having found some time to actually "play" Oolite.
Click on image to view it at its real size 1360x768 (16:9).
Special greetings and credits to all OXPers out there!

It indeed gives me the same feeling as some scenes from Odyssey 2001.
And the advertisement resembles to the monolith!
