Our nightlies buildbot, terrastorage, is currently experiencing modem issues and is unable to connect to the internet. Hopefully this will be fixed soon and nightly build service will resume, but it may take a few days before terrastorage becomes fully operational again. Thank you for your patience.

All up and running - old Getafix doesn't hang around.

Well... not exactly "all"... didn't manage to provide the community with the Mac nightly. :(

This has become a manual "best effort" task nowadays (if you have noticed the Mac nightly redirection page)...
...it will mostly always lag to the Windows & Linux nightly.

Things get damaged
Things get broken
I thought we'd manage
But words left unspoken
Left us so brittle
There was so little left to give
(Precious, Depeche Mode)

While in temporary-modem/router mode and waiting for the new one, the terrastorage CPU cooler clips broke.
Yes, the second mishap within 8 days; can someone call Father Merrin???

This one will take a couple of days to get fixed; I don't have a temporary replacement.

Sorry guys 'n' gals.

(If it is about the plastic clips of the cooler retainer, and not the metal clips themselves) A quick DIY solution is to use a (solid) wood screw straight in the plastic (inserted as much as it needs to stay rigid)

Cool!!! 8)
It is more precisely the part (four pins - two of them broken) that actually clips on the board.
I will try this trick most probably tonight... after taking care of an "IT ticket" :) raised by my aunt first.

<chortles> Ah yes, IT support for the family - I do a bit of that myself.

My clientele is expanding to 2nd degree relatives.
Remote desktop s/w has saved me a lot of travelling.

<grins> Yeah, it tends to expand - but I draw the line at friends of relatives.

The (attempted) substitute of 1k words:

Hopefully doesn't bring more confusion :D
(The above is an AM2/AM3 retainer -- for AMD CPUs)

Actually is more simple than I thought as it concerns an LGA775 socket cooler.
For the time being, I vandalized my E:D setup, to get terrastorage up and running.
Still on a temporary modem/router, with some network functionality hiccups, though.

Thanx Commander_X!

I'm shutting down terrastorage to attach the new cooler and new modem.
