The noble Lord wishes to thank all those who have provided assistance in this endeavour and welcomes any views and opinions that noble members may wish to provide.

Well, that's good news, isn't it? So, I've packaged everything up and all the bits and pieces should be working OK - I'm sure you'll let me know if anything isn't. Apologies for the filesize of the pdf readme - for some reason the usual 'reduce file size' option in Preview doesn't seem to be working properly today.

The download is available from the link in the quote above, and I've updated the page on my website. When I get a moment I'll add something to the Wiki.

Also, a point to note is that Eric identified a slight clash between this OXP and Missiles and Bombs, so there is a new version of M&B available from the wiki that resolves this.

Also Great documentation. On flying into Aronar however my system crashed but this is probably because I'm still on 173.3.

I had this too, though I'm on 1.73.4
Hyperspace to Aronar, get wormhole and whoosh then Oolite disappears, no error dialogue box.
I'll post Log and OXP list when I've typed it out, which'll be tomorrow now.

Ok, I've updated graphics drivers, tried with a new Jameson and no OXPs, all the same result, crash on Hyperspace to Aronar.

I'm Windows XP 32bit Home Edition SP3; AMD Phenom 9650 Quadcore 2.31 GHz 2.75 GB Ram; Nvidia Geforce 6150SE nForce 430 (Built into MotherBoard 512 MB which may or maynot be stolen from the main Ram?)

Two things are wrong: Line 135 of the script named feudal-promotion.js contains a syntax error and feudal-fragment-shader.fragment contains a syntax error as well at line 88 (if I am reading the log right). The rest of the errors reported in the fragment shader should be a result of that first one, but it will be possible to tell only after that has been corrected. Generally, when shader compilations go wrong, things can potentially go haywire in pretty unexpected ways, which I believe is the reason for the crashes. It should all return to normal once the script/shader errors are ironed out.

Unfortunately I cannot be more specific at this time, because I have not managed to download the OXP yet.

Probably not, since Oolite inserts macros. The real error will be around line 83 or 84.

In any case, Feudal States is clearly broken, and All-Stars is too; I suggest taking them out. If the problem persists, as you suggest it will, it would be helpful to have a log without their error spew.

Since the hunting lodge is off the main space lanes, it will make an interesting combination with Deep Space Pirates OXP, which generate more pirates outside the space lanes.
Maybe they could be thought of as rival houses looking to waylay people on theri way to the hunting lodge.

re: the shader error - have a look on page 11 of this thread, it's being caused by spaces after the \ at the end of lines 82 -87 - there shouldn't be anything at all after the \ so delete the spaces and it should run OK.

I spotted the minor syntax error in feudal-promotions.js last night, which I've fixed and re-uploaded.

I'm sure I went through the shaders last time and removed any spaces that were causing issues, but I'll double check and correct as necessary. It's one of these things that doesn't show up on a mac.

No crash for me
Just made 8 or 9 jumps from Ceesxe to get to Aronar - No problem.

Running 1.73.4 on a Mac though, not Windoze...

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I should have said Oolite crashes on hyperspace to Aronar AFTER I'd installed The Feudal States OXP, and went to have a look at the medeival stuff.

Otherwise I've not had a crash at all since I updated my graphics drivers (see here:https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?t=7218&highlight=), even with the All-Stars OXP installed. When I'm home again tomorrow (at work on overnight shift right now) I'll double check by uninstalling The Feudal States and checking Aronar is reachable. Then I'll re-download The Feudal States and if necessary correct the errors mentioned above as per Griff's advice. If I'm still having problems I'll uninstall All-Stars to remove unneccesary "error spew" (Hehehe that's funny) and then save a log.
It's one of these things that doesn't show up on a mac.
