I never heard a peep out of them yet. Does it not trigger to hitching a lift in someone else's wormhole?

The passenger just woke up. I think it has to do with buying a cobra mk1 maybe? I was using a worm before. Strange... or maybe it just a long time for him to complain... without a hyperdrive time goes slower as you do more intra-system stuff.

And with the release of Oolite 1.77, I have now updated the main Planetfall download to v1.51.

For Planetfall users, once you have updated your game install, please also update your OXP to this new version as v1.50 and below will not work properly with Oolite 1.77. Downloads are via the links below or the wiki as normal.

I will try and also update the Russian version within the next few days for those who use that.

8/01/2013 - Version 1.51, update for v1.77 (incompatible with lower versions). Changed station model due to new docking trunk code, and added landing effect in collaboration with Svengali.
Not sure what the landing effect is supposed to do, tried it out but think its not working. Saw a light blue screen followed by a dark screen. No docking rings. No errors in my log though.

You should see the landscape of the planet and briefly fly in towards it (it's limited to 2.5s) and as you say no longer any docking rings. There are a few different scenes, for variety.

What do you see when you launch again from the planet?

Didn't see that at all.

I saw a launch screen, with some text (it was last night so can't remember exactly).

I wonder if one of the png images has a formatting issue? They all look OK on my machine, but it may be graphics chip dependent.

Can you go into the OXP and try opening the image files up individually and see if they all look OK or not?

Planet side will make no difference here. But the effect is chosen at random from the pool in the images folder. If you can try a few landings and see which images work and which don't then it will be helpful to narrow this down.

And for those of a Russian nature, the Russian language version is now also updated to version 1.51, and will also need Oolite 1.77 to run. It is a full OXP, and should not be installed in parallel with the English language version.

Yes. Indeed I recommend to use it or a similar OXP which adds additional moons and planets so you have more places to visit.
