I think I once saw ~ 12 launch, most of the witch-spaced out leaving 2 loitering around, who even managed to make it to the space station aegis before I did  I dont know how they managed to get there faster than me, maybe I was distracted by shooting up pirates while they were just tootling along?

Adding V1.3 BETA to the Wikki Page. This will work on 1.72 of Oolite.

UPDATE TO VERSION 1.3 (beta).

- Code changes so that the OXP works on 1.72 of Oolite.
- Improved Script (the OXP now runs a lot faster).
- Names of Victims, Hunters and Henchmen now shown on the ID Computer.
- Bug fixs for the code to detect who killed a victim and how. Should now be a lot more reliable.
- Docking at a bar now costs you a couple of credits for you bar bill.
- Distance to the Victim's system now shown on the BB. (Note this is only yet implemented for Galaxies 1 and 2. The full version will do this for all Galaxies).
- Improved the AIs and behaviour of Escorts for Marks. They now fight more as a group. The ships escorting a mark are now also randomised.
- Killing victims can now have consequences. Somtimes family members will put out a contact on you!

Direct link below, you can also download it from the Wikki page.

Is there anywhere else I can d/l this from, out of bandwidth error from box.net?

If you want to PM me your e-mail I can send it over as an attachment. The link on the wiki page works for me, but as I only have Box available, I haven't got anywhere else to host it. According to Box 1.3 has been downloaded about 400 times, so I'm assuming the link is OK.

e-mail sent.

Found the problem with my box account. Cos its free only 15Gigs of stuff can be downloaded in a month. Normally its more than enough to cope with downloads of my oolite stuff, but as I only put up V1.3 on 4/11/08, 400 downloads in a month has send it over its monthly limit. Should be downloadable again on 4th Dec! This applies to all my OXPs as they're all on box. Was tempted to upgrade as its only about a fiver a month, but couldn't really justify pure geeking expenditure to my other half.

Hunter's should rarely venture more than 25kms from the bar, so whilst the bars have a safe zone the rest of the Anarchy should be as dangerous as ever.
Once all targets are destroyed there's an 85% chance that the hunter ship will witch-out, only 15% of hunters launched will go on an in-system patrol. I may be launching too many hunters though, resulting in too many heading off to clean up the town!

HI LB, only just found this thread, I updated to v1.3 beta last week. Nice update BTW.
I was trying to manual dock to a SSB yesterday, sorry I can't remember where- somewhere in Gal2 central section, after 5 minutes of continuous departures I decided to go to the main station instead. Most of the bounty hunters were Witching out after a perp, but a few went on to the main station. There was a brief fight on arrival with a Fugitive which I reckon started the mass exodus but after I killed him they still kept coming out...
I like the addition of a rough location on the BB for missions, saves those long treks across the galaxy I had with v1.2

Just had a quick check on Wiki with no success; Is there a list somewhere of what ranks are available or medals awarded etc with RH?
I've just made "Veteren Provost" tonight BTW

Keep up the good work- I wish I could write OXP's....

Just want to confirm that I have been seeing something like that as well, with both 1.3 and its predecessors. Loads and loads of hunters leaving the bar, most of them jumping out. But there really seems to be no end to the launch-chain.

I haven't checked it with AI-debug, but probably the bar gets stuck in an AI-state that lets it spill out ships without end?

Oh, and the other day I jumped into another system after killing my mark. I found loads of hunters at the witchpoint, most of them jumping out again after a short while. In the next system the same, but with a smaller number of hunters. I quit the game in that system, so I can't say if that would have gone on for more jumps.

Its a known bug, fixed on 1.4. Basically when the bar opens up with its turrets in performAttack it keeps adding hunters to the que, but they don't get launched until the Attack is complete. So you get a stream of hunters filing out after the battle is over. The new version, fires a ten second burst of turret fire, then ceases fire for 15 seconds during which a single hunter is launched. Hunters re-wiching is also fixed on 1.4.

@LittleBear
I bought a box account you can use for the file hosting as it seems to be out of bandwidth a lot.
PM or Email me with an e-mail address and I will then be able to add you as a user of a folder.

Cheers Ensa, but I think I'd better update my box account to unlimited. Its on my things to do list for Friday, albeit behind sort out being paid for brothel case before x-mass but ahead of watching 30 hours of cctv footage for gang rape case over x-mass.

I really do need unlimited storage for proper work purposes, as I just looked at my documents file on my laptop and its up to over 200M, so the £5 a month box account would be usefull for backing up my work stuff once a week. And (entirley co-incidentley) the untlimited bandwith would allow me to share oolite files with fellow elite-heads!

Should have downloads back up by the end of the week. In fairness to box I've had about 2 years of free file sharing with them and I guess this is their way of telling me that I should start contributing somthing!

Littlebear: can you upload your OXPs on other server than box? Maybe Rapidshare/Megaupload or something like these? Your account on box is still blocked due bandwith limit...

Hmmmm.
I downloaded asteroids and renegade pirates which I didn't have but when I try to download random hits I get the same out of bandwidth message.
That was the one I was particularly after!
Anyway, thought you should know....
:)
Thanks again.
<edit> I just checked and random hits 1.2 will download but random hits 1.3 Beta gives the out of bandwidth messge, The asteroids file downloads but I get a 4kb empty zip file. Black monks and renegade pirates is fine so off I go to enjoy those... <edit>

Thats odd. I think I tested it with Random Hits 1.3(beta). I'll give it another go. Edit: Downloaded 1.3 ok and my machine. Could you give it another try?
