Right on, Commander!! Congratulations! 8)
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Folks - Now that it is finished I can reveal the following:

Pledgers direct from here (ie. the Oolite BB) contributed 5.98% of the total pledges. That's £421. This was also the biggest individual category of websites feeding into my KS page.

There were a bunch of recognisable names that also pledged from my emails, tweets and facebook updates, at around £250.

So you folks can be heartily proud of yourselves for being responsible for around 10% of the funding for Elite:Reclamation, and what's more - most of that arrived on day 1, which demonstrated a huge amount of faith in me and my writing.

Genuinely delighted and touched by the support. You're all fabulous.

Cheers,

Drew.

That's good to know - and also means that 90% of your funding was generated from people who may not have directly know who you were at the start of the KS - I think this perhaps says even more.

Congratulations Drew! Can't wait to read the book! and thank you also for running a fantastic kickstarter campain and being a brilliant common sense/good vibes generator over on the E:D kickstarter comments section back when it was going through some bizzare and dark times a few weeks ago :D

There was/is some extraordinary negativity, even anger, about E: D in some places - crazy people!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Yup, the anger surprised me as well - and it is still out there: I noticed some hostile comments to the latest media articles as well.

Drew - I've not yet had notification from KS to say my card has been charged - other Kickstarters I've backed this has happened almost immediately...

Indeed, your campaign was fantastic! I haven't seen another kickstarter with so many updates in so many places--well done and all the best for writing the book!

Mine was received at silly o'clock yesterday morning, so they are going out. Maybe check your card online if you can and see if the cash has gone?

No Idea, I'm afraid Daddyhoggy, my wife's got charged almost straightaway too.

I've not had any 'error' notifications this end.

Cheers,

Drew.

OK, payment went through unnoticed yesterday...

(ED took their payment a few seconds after the close of the KS!)
