@Duggan
Yeah, i like the new clean look too, and there might be a way using the shader to add in some dirt and grime buildup depending on the ships current mainenance level using some new shader bindings available in the next few versions of Oolite (there a small bit about this a few pages back in this thread i believe - an animated gif of a elite2 'gnat' getting more worn out over time)
edit: ah here we are, it's back on page 126:
By the way have you seen dertien's amazing new shipset that he's working on here: https://bb.oolite.space/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=15835 looks really great and has a nice clean and crisp texture style!

Griff, Not only, have I seen it ,The Eagle regularly appears for sale in the Shipyards I visit.
Griff. If you're still pondering about the stats of the Griffin and no one comes forward with the 'official' ones, how about positioning it between Adder and Cobra I like you have done with the Gnat. That's where I feel the game needs some options. Especially when starting the game with an Adder .
Ha! No, we used to buy it by the crate from a friendly local wholesaler, and drink it at home.
Most of the Wychwood brews are high-quality beers - dangerously drinkable indeed!
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
I've modified the Gnat's stats to weaken it a bit - it's a small ship about the same size as the sidewinder so it's stats reflect that now (although unlike the sidewinder it can hyperspace jump) whilst I was there, I've changed the 'paintmap' texture slightly so the alternative paint scheme version (where most of the ships hull was repainted instead of just limiting the effect to just a few strips) doesn't come up with such dreadful looking ships
Thanks for the tip off about the broken Ophidyan link PAG, I've fixed that too
I've made a tiny change to some of the 'hull plate lines' on my Wolf oxp to fix some dodgy looking bits and re-exported the ship this time with smoothing groups and a new fragment shader based on the one I'm using in my gnat and ophidian OXPs. the Texture still looks too 'busy' though I think, thes ship could do with a much simpler one
Love to see you giving more attention to the old Wolf, Griff! Looking great to me!
