Okay let's try and make things harder...

A scientist is investigating an artifact found ON a small planetoid, that when people enter INSIDE, THEY are killed...

It still does not parse. Does the scientist find a planetoid? Did the artefact find the planetoid?

No, it's worse than that. Fatleaf DID answer it, on 13 June. It was the right answer, just the wrong time. Now we're in a chronic hysteresis. The only way out is to identify the source of the term "chronic hysteresis".

There are still some weird temporal effects: I did see Thargoid answering this question too, but I am not sure if it was in the past or in the future.
