Something went bad yesterday for the windows nightly. :?
I know that I propagated a_c's installer change for the ManagedAddOns folder, so
most probably I overlooked something while applying this change.

This is just to notify that I have noticed it and that I am working on it.

Cheers and good morning to all!

EDIT: Fixed.

This is just a heads up for an upcoming nightly server outage due to nightly server ISP change.

The expected change is to happen in a couple of weeks and, in the worst case, we will loose not more than two nightly builds.
The change will not impact the server name, however, I will still have to setup the new ISP network device.

If the ISP change takes longer, we will risk to have a much bigger outage (a couple of weeks :( ) since I will be away.
To help with bug fixing delivery planning, I will keep posting weekly updates here.

EDIT:
Following to a new offer from my current ISP, the change is postponed for a year; planned downtime cancelled.

Following a server update that didn't go THAT smoothly, the latest trunk nightly is available.

Ah, that explains it - when I looked at its date this morning, I thought I'd lost a day.

Due to the increased frequency of "internal compiler error: Segmentation fault" issue, for both Windows and Linux nightly builds, I will proceed in running a comprehensive memory test on the TerraStorage server, to at least exclude the case of physical memory issues.

On that matter a server downtime is planned as follows:
Server Shutdown: 5/Apr/2015 21:00 (UTC)
Server Startup: 7/Apr/2015 21:00(UTC)
(following server shutdown, the next cumulative update, for Windows and Linux nightly build, will be available Wednesday morning)

This means that following server shutdown for Windows and Linux
  • Oolite update (i.e. rsync service) will be unavailable,
  • nightly build releases will freeze at Sunday's nightly build
  • alternative links, for Sunday's nightly build full download only, can be found below:
    • Linux package (32bit x86 distros): Oolite-Linux x86
    • Linux package (64bit x86_64/AMD64 distros): Oolite-Linux x86_64/AMD64
    • Windows (32bit): Oolite-Windows x86
    • Windows (64bit): Oolite-Windows x64
Mac nightly releases will continue to be updated (being built outside of TerraStorage) and will be available at:
http://oolite.org/nightly/mac/

Thank you for your patience.

EDIT 2015-04-05: Updated with alternative links for Windows and Linux Sunday's nightly.

EDIT 2015-04-09: Windows and Linux alternative links have been disabled. Oolite nightly-build service is restored.

Wednesday 'morning' and all is well - I have the latest nightly update! Thanks, amigo - did you find the fault, btw?

Unfortunately the memory test showed that all memory banks were faulty. I managed to find some spares, but the memory test showed that one bit, one single annoying bit in a pool of billions, is faulty (if life is a simulation, someone is really having fun with me). Anyhow, for the time being, I am running the server with this known defect. Let's see if the "compiler segmentation fault" issue appearance frequency will decrease.

Both Windows and Linux can mark known bad memory locations so as to not use them:

Probably nothing...

However since the code freeze worth mentioning.

I'm using the Smart HUD and the Windows 32 bit Trunk and somewhat to my annoyance am getting a stream of "missed Asteroid" notifications to the right of my HUD display.

I am not entirely sure I need to know that I have missed all these Asteroids as I only need to pop a few to get the cost of refuelling anyway.

N.B...Apologies...should have posted this in testing and bug reports pertaining to Trunk Oolite.

@Duggan: This is most likely related to an OXP. I don't recall core giving any kind of warnings about missed asteroids. Best thing to do is identify which OXP this warning is coming from and then post it as an observation/bug at that OXP's thread in Expansion Pack.
