@Judebert - thanks for the explanation - makes perfect sense - I guess you can't even guarantee something like the Dodo at the Tionisla Orbital Graveyard to be there - because you could save the game and then - in a moment of madness - remove the oxp...

I guess this is a similar problem to having a ship from an OXP and then removing the oxp - thus making the pilot unloadable?!

'Zactly. You got it.

I've gotta go visit the Graveyard. I left Galaxy 1 before I got the chance to go sightseeing.

At least I've got something to look forward to.

Didn't get to see much of the cool stuff in G1 either and feel the same way about that.

I don't see why the game should decide whether saving should be enabled at other places. It is possible to make stations that will always be in a certain system or type of system. Any OXP'er making a non-random appearing station should have the option to make the station a place where saving is possible.

The problem with invalid saves shouldn't be any worse than if a player flying an OXP ship removes the OXP containing the save. And I suppose that the game could even be made to default to the system station in those cases.

I still find the life of piracy too unbeliveable to be any fun as long as fugitives can dock safely at GalCop controlled system stations without having their ships impounded.

@DH I just noticed your question about appearances further back. All ads should appear at the same frequency, but being randomly selected you might not see a certain one for some time.

Just wondering if you're accepting any more ads...

...because I have one idea I could knock up in a few hours. LFT (Lave Fried Trumbles). Fattened on a diet from the best agricultural worlds, it's finger lickin' good. Warning - LFT may contain small traces of circuitboards and cargo cannister metal.

@Pangloss - don't want to speak on Doc's behalf but I believe he's taking more ads (256x128 don't forget). As he says:
44 to go!
So go on - we'd all love to see them. That's the beauty of this BB - nice people all wanting to make an great game even better!

Yummy. Pay no attention to the disclaimer at the bottom. It's just part of a navigational console.

Can report performance much improved with new version! :D

Would like to know if I could borrow some of the components and make specific entries with them in my Tianve OXP? I'd like to have quite a lot of advertising around my pulsar and space station area (I figure the area would have become heavily commercialised over the years...)

Cheers,

Drew.

AD-X brings you its new logo. We're going intergalactic, baby. Just make sure you don't shoot the glass because...

...oh. Well, the nanoglass is actually made up of long chains of carbon-fibre nanobots and they'll have it looking like new within a day.

Great :D It's always nice with some more ads.

You can test the second set here. It's made as an entirely separate OXP to allow players to use both or either, according to machine specs. There's no script in the 2nd set yet, so while it holds 4 new ad variations on the Pi-42's, they will only appear if the first set is installed too - for now.

Empty slots in this set will hold the new AD-X logo by Pangloss until they fill up (except the one slot that it remains in).
