And now Nigel Farage has stepped down as well. "Job done", he says. We'll see.
The news has been full of articles explaining why the referendum was either so flawed as to be morally indefensible, or constitutionally illegal enough to be discounted that I wonder if Brexit will ever actually happen.
Factor in a possible general election before Article 50 is invoked, and nothing is certain.
Great fun!

I agree with all that except, I am afraid, the last line . .

Haha. Well, I was being a bit ironic, but I try to see the lighter side of these things as it would all be far too depressing if you take it entirely seriously.

I suppose there's a certain macabre fun to be had, watching the shambles at Westminster.

The next one to resign will probably be the Queen.

Well, it looks like we are going to have our second female PM soon.
Can't be any worse than the first one surely?

Yes, another Iron Lady - what joy! It'll amost certainly be May - Remain via the back door?

One thing I think I'd borrow from the US system is a two term maximum for the PM.

I'd quite like them to exhibit a pulse, myself. A dead-eyed android running Thatcher 2.0, whose main policy plank is to stamp out human rights (and switching off the earth's electromagnetic field - watch this space) … deep joy. Still, credit where it's due: in a popularity contest between an amphibian in an ill-fitting skin-suit, the mirror-universe Mary Poppins, a pound-shop General Zod, and Liam Fox, she’s clearly the best choice to lead the country.

Oh lor, I forgot that the final decision will be up to the blue-rinse stormtroopers and Furious of Tunbridge Wells … this half-baked fantasist is right up their street and might get the nod. Like a female IDS, but actually holding the levers of power.

Aye... worrying, ain't it. Never thought I'd be cheering May on, but...

The irony is getting a bit much, now … the UK has an acute shortage of trained trade negotiators, and we're going to have to hire them from overseas to help us negotiate all these new trade deals. And you can bet they won't come cheap, what with them being the trained negotiators and us having a dearth of the same.

It's the satirists I feel sorry for, really. This sort of stuff is just stealing food from their tables.
