Almost: occupy 97x36x86m and 158t but the deck limits are 70x29x95m and 130t. I don't want to change any of these stats, so the Salamander is one of the smallest "large" ship, like the Cobra Mark III, which mean an ability to hold large equipments like [wiki]Laser Cannons[/wiki]. NPCs over 130t also receive extras from ShipVersion.

No problems arose, so the oxp (v1.3.2) is now available via the manager. Wiki is also updated.

* removed like_ship = "python" from python-x. missing properties copied from core python.

Have fun and please report oddities, I'll fix them.

If someone is interested in making an oxp for 1.83 to put in player versions for those twin laser beauties, feel free to do so.

I notice i am getting an unknown unknown in the manager and hence alas cannot download this add on.

That was me, spara. I screwed up the downloads for the noshaders Staer9 shipset... sorry, for the fuzz.

@phkbduggan There's two shipset now. If you look for Spara's standard version look for staer9 shipset in the ships category.
My noshaders set (the one under retextures) lacks shader support for e.g. randomly coloured ships and is intended for machine without a modern gpu (like my intel gfx notebook)

Another small issue has arisen.

I cannot seem to buy a Military Shield Enhancement for any of these ships despite being able to buy them with a Naval Energy Unit in the cost price of some of them.

This then prevents the use of the Naval Energy Grid oxz with any of these vessels. :)

Hmmh, just tested with a (Noshader) Cobra II-X and I can buy Shieldboosters and then a Military Shield Enhancer.

Which shipset? The noshaders or spara's shadered? And which ships were you trying? Some are able to fit a MSE according to shipyard.plist?

I had no idea there were two versions of the same oxz in the manager. It's a Python Class Cruiser that I purchased with a Naval Energy Unit in the Price. Which exact oxz is the one that will allow me to buy a M.S.E ? so that I can then purchase a Naval Energy Grid Please .?

There's one version for shader cabable computers and one for non-shader cabable computers. They should share the same ship definitions, but I have not checked in detail. I'm very busy at the moment and it will take some time for me to check this problem out. If someone wants to take a look at it, be my guest. I'll be happy to include any corrections necessary. If not, I'll check it out at some point.

ah, ok... the pcc is not supposed to have a naval_shield_booster according to shipyard.plist. The python-et however has.
Don't know if it's a bug or feature.

duggan, if you you want to stick to a pcc you can do the following:

unpack the staer9_shipset OXZ to a directory. Go into the config directory and look for the following entry or something similar in shipyard.plist, and add "EQ_NAVAL_SHIELD_BOOSTER", in optional_equipment.

Repack as Zip, rename to Staer9_shipset_hacked.OXZ or similar and replace it with the original.

Purchase a new Python Class cruiser and you can have a naval_shield_booster.

That needs to be checked against Aegidian's original version and Neolite version. If you're up to speed, Amah, you might want to take a peek. I can also do it ... in a couple of days.

That is correct - the PCC does not have mil shields as an option.

OK Thanks for the research folks. It was me wondering how it could be purchased with a Naval Energy Unit and yet could not use a Naval Energy Grid with it because of it's inability to get an M.S.E. just seemed slightly anomalous to me . :)
