At start It didn't load. I see only the default hud, which remains until I launch my ship.
However, in Latest.log I read:

Code: Select all

19:14:28.611 [Wide-Screen HUD]: Wide-screen HUD for Oolite version 1.76 selected.

Yes, there should be a blank HUD at the start, but I haven't included that yet. I moved the check for aspect ratio from start up to ship launch when I realized that some people play in windowed, not full screen, mode and might re-size the window while they are docked.

Addendum: I've just uploaded version 0.5.3 which includes the proper start up.

One experienced über-ship driver needed for a few test-runs - apply via PM, please.

Edit: the vacancy has been filled!

I have my next OXP, The GalTech Escort Fighter, 95% complete so hope to release it shortly (I just have a couple of minor tweaks to make).

This is the first time that I have looked at putting together an OXP using OpenStep and I have also taken the plunge and tried my hand at some admittedly very basic scripting.

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to take a look at the oxp with a particular focus on the scripting and OpenStep plists to check that I have not made any silly mistakes.

I have carried out some self testing and believe the oxp appears to be working as intended.

Meanwhile, back in the ready-room, the klaxon howls...

Back in the ready-room, an irked pilot is playing solo chess. As he rotates the board, he ponders his next move as black, whilst also pondering his next move as white.

I have an short "informal" mission OXP which could do with a few volunteers for some testing. Pilots will need to be at least Dangerous and able to reach Galaxy 3, and running Oolite 1.77. PM me if you're interested for a download link.

I have a little ambience/eye-candy WIP-OXP that I would like some testing and feedback for.
Volunteers should be experienced pilots, and have the ability to study the behaviour of NPCs, as I am most interested in confirming that the ships in question behave as intended and display certain characteristics.
Interested Commanders can post here or PM me.
Thanks :)

P.S. Oolite v1.77 required.

I love eye-candy... and since I'm "Elite" I suppose I'm also qualifying for the "experienced pilots" part.

Don't forget to build yourself a nice tough test-ship, gizmo... with boffins, you never know when you might need it!
