Probably not. I'll release it as oxp, but if the devteam wants the pics - hey, that'd be cool. So whatever happens you'll get them .-)

Are they animatable? Or static? Also do they change from screen to screen?
Sorry I'm just trying to get an idea of the flexibility of your oxp.

Static pics for different screens. But I'll use the foreground overlay to change the navigational elements, based on the current status (inflight, docked, paused). So - no animation.

If you look at Svengali's album(s) (I forget the URL, but you can find it thru/via clicking the background pics), you can see all the backgrounds. First, the backgrounds are just... COOL. AND they are informative... legends around the edges of navmaps for example, that explain the system icons (economy, government type, tech level).

I think, ClymAngus has asked because of the LongRangeChart.
It would be super cool to have the vector maps in here, with the ability to zoom in and out, but that's out of my scope (and would require some code changes). I'm already happy with all these features Oolite is shipping and this oxp is meant as a starting point. Others may do another set someday to let players choose their personal thingie (like a soundset).

But maybe I should kick the overlay for this Chart to leave room for a mechanism for the map gurus.

Anyway - a lot of pixel-work is waiting.

So i finally completely retextured/shadered Galactic Navy, Behemoth, SecondWave, Thargorn Threat and Thargoid Carrier OXP's (as well as a bunch of thargoid retextures)

??? They are glowing, in most of those pics (specifically 40 & 42) its shot from behind with the light source below... wait a sec why is there a light source in deep space? This doesn't make any sense *head explodes*

But yeah, they are glowing, it they weren't you wouldn't even see the red at that angle, it would just be a dark patch. If you mean the hull around the engines, on a ship that size if the hull was glowing, you'd have a small problem... Like a hull breach :P

The windows are also glowing, but its hard to tell because of the mysterious previously mentioned deep space source of light...

Well I wait. I'm still on 173.3 and wait patiently for a new official test release.
You could also make some make some nice backgrounds for planetfall.(hint: starport image)

Current test version is 1.73.4, why did you not upgrade?
