here's a version of the planet oxp with the proper sized texture maps (2048 x1024)

It is really beautiful how the city lights turn on as various places enter the "nightside" of the planet. Just need to fix a couple of hiccups with rendering (some triangles are not rendered) and this will be a leap forward. High resolution shots of the above can be downloaded: pic1 pic2 pic3 pic4

ok, so when i started playing everything was flat and some colours, now, it looks as good as any modern PC game

Hopefully I'm not completely put to shame by Griff... Here's one of the SR2 systems with shaders. Have a few more ideas for this one, and the normal and specular maps need more work... But hey, it's my first go at 'em...
