Ah yes, the Superbowl, haven't played Grid-Iron for a long time (20 years in fact!)

Re: Welcome back.
damn, i was completely lost w/out this place! seriously, i check here lots of times through the day, both for idle browsing and reference wehn i'm OXPing.
this is the second time in a short while that the board's gone : i was thinking about setting up a runboard to have as a backup/emergency site; NOT trying to be a replacement here, just somewhere we can still post stuff and keep in touch and get news if it happens again. would there be any interest in that?

There sort of was.

Linked from the Wiki main page during the crisis. It got 265 hits. The link has now been removed, but I'll leave the page in place so it's available if it's ever needed again.

Re: Welcome back.
I couldn't mention it here because there was no here.
It was a response to the BB going down, because last time (at New Year) I came back from holiday and found no BB and no information anywhere. I thought by providing this page at least there was some info and contact point available.
The best I could do was replace the usual Wiki front page link to the BB with a note saying the BB was down and a link to my info page. No other way of letting people know.
I'll keep the page available for future use if it's needed, so if the BB does go down again, check the Wiki and if I can find out what's going on I'll try to keep everyone posted.

Re: Welcome back.
If the forum ever goes down again guys, don't forget about the Oolite Institute of Righteous Commanders.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills

Re: Welcome back.
EV's being subtle, too subtle perhaps.
He's referring to the Oolite Chatroom, where many of us have been hanging out. You'll need a browser with an IRC client, or any other IRC client, but it's been great for keeping in touch and just having a general natter. Just as friendly as the BB and even more social....it's the answer to all those wanting 'in-game communications', as we've been chatting between and even during games.
Come join us...

OK, so explain what I do and where I go, IRC is new to me. FF3 is my browser of choice.
