In current Oolite, police don't even want to escort a police ship when the mother has not the primary role of "police". Without doing special tricks, such escorts always fell apart after adding to the system
But, to stay positive, in trunk can every ship with a police scanclass have police escorts. That means the prison-ship from Dictators.oxp will keep its escorts in future.
