Pass. Seems a little ott to get active users details, surely, adding the persona from the site (since persona is a plug-in) would allow the persona to tag itself as being in use...

Anyway, I created another one - depending on your screen width (looks ok on my 1920w) I may have cheated enough to satisfy the "it's too dark" issue - at least on the left hand side of the screen - http://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/persona/313415

I just went over there and installed the Constore.
(Btw, the Viper was listed as having 1 active user.)

It's still a tad dark for my tastes; On the left side all the Menu options - File, Edit, View etc - appear as black lettering on black background. They're only faintly visible because they've been given a sort of grey backlight.

Also, just as with the Viper, only the upper two thirds of the image is visible. This could of course be due to the fact that I'm using a 1280x800 resolution.

It depends not only on your screen res but how many additional lines you have for functionality in your particular copy of FF.

As for screen text colour - you can edit locally.

Image

Click on the little fox in the bottom right hand corner and you can edit the persona's text colour to suit. I didn't need to as you can see from my 1920w screen - the sun is carefully placed to leave the text against a bright background.

However for the Viper one I had to edit the profile locally to set the text to white (as I have no control from the persona over your choice of text colour)

So it works for me OK.

DH

PS - Thanks for using!

As, yes, you have one more line than I do. On mine the word "Oolite" is neatly covered by the transparent tabs.

Strangely enough, there is no fox hiding in my lower right corner, and as far as I recall, there never has been. Not that I pay that much attention mind you. FF is my secondary browser; I've been using Opera since it's inception, and I only use FF for web pages that for some reason or other creates trouble for Opera. (Like the pages of a local paper, where the formatting gets completely screwed up. Strangely enough, on other Opera users' computers the formatting is fine, just not on mine. And the weirdest thing is that the formatting trouble carried over when I got a new laptop...)

And as you no doubt surmised from my previous statements, my lower screen width displays no hint of a sun at all. I'll prbably switch back to the Viper for now, as it looked better on my screen, but I'll definitely keep testing these out if and when new ones appear!

Edit: Switched to Viper. Black text switched to white automagically!

You need to download and install the addon Personas to get your little fox.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Ah! That explains it.
(See above post why this is unlikely to happen.)

Curses! You've got me having a go at this now, DH.
It's infuriatingly addictive... hey-ho!

Question: can you make the header pic cover the address bar and the google bar, instead of leaving them blank?
That's what my AnyColor theme does, and I've got used to it that way.

For instance… I can customise the AnyColor addon theme with my own header and footer, as in this thumbnail:

(That header and footer are way over the 300KB limit, as well).

But if I create a custom persona, it leaves the address and google bars blank, which is a shame.

My viper persona shows through my address bar (about 50% I reckon) as per this piccie...

Perhaps its a setting that can be fiddled with?

Oooh! My Firefox persona has two active users already.

Couldn't find any way to tinker with the transparency settings, though.

Make that 3. I like how the bottom bar is all nebuly (nebulay? nebulaey? nebully?).

Just be careful not to let success go to your head - those delusions of adequacy can be dangerous!

I spent hours trying to find a really suitable Oolite nebulae pic. In the end I cheated, and used an actual astronomical pic of the galactic centre, which looks amazing at the full res of 6000x3000.

Me neither. :(

Where's your Persona?

I found it by following your link in the OP.
