Dylan has given me permission to include Virtuous Misfortune, so will start planning...

Cheers,

Drew.

nifty! Did you want to include the maps? Might make tracing where people are and going to kind of cool.

We are approaching a package here with novels, maps and a manual. All we need is a box, cd cover design and a keyboard overlay and we are good to go.
:o
Would be cool to make a printable package. I could use that as a Christmas gift. Copy an Oolite setup with a selection of OXP's installed to CD, printed manuals, maps and novels in a nice box.

Bit behind schedule here, but still working on it. RL dumped a bunch of stuff on me as it usually does...!

I like the idea of a box though... :D

Drew.

Decided on the following :

Virtuous Misfortune - Dylan Smith
Nine - Drew Wagar
Calliope - Blaze O'Glory
Coyote - El Viejo
Ascension - Drew Wagar
Local Midnight in the Vacuum Bar - Blaze O'Glory
Snake Charming - John Hoggard
Schism - Drew Wagar
Negotiations of Failure - Commander Wvyern
Lazarus - John Hoggard
Replay - Drew Wagar

Will work on putting these into a single package next - start thinking of a cover design and a name for the collection! :)

Cheers,

Drew.

The title of an anthology often refers to, or uses, one of the titles contained therein.
I’d suggest something like Tales from the Vacuum Bar.

How about Alien Items? Subtitled an Oolite anthology (I was tempted to go for "anthoology" there but I restrained myself ...).

Liking very much. I thought we needed something that harked back to the original game. 'Alien Items' is perfect! :)

Ok, revised list...

Virtuous Misfortune - Dylan Smith
Carver's Anarchy - Ganelon
Nine - Drew Wagar
Calliope - Blaze O'Glory
Coyote - El Viejo
Ascension - Drew Wagar
Local Midnight in the Vacuum Bar - Blaze O'Glory
Snake Charming - John Hoggard
Schism - Drew Wagar
Vakume Danserz - Ganelon
Negotiations of Failure - Commander Wvyern
Lazarus - John Hoggard
Replay - Drew Wagar

No more entries now otherwise it will undergo gravitational collapse and become a blackhole!

Cheers,

Drew.

Will contributing authors have chance to write a small bio and/or possibly a "blurb" for their stories (if they so desire)?

I would say that's not beyond the bounds of possibility. Start writing folks! :)

Drew.

Got loads done on this today... quite pleased with progress. Formatting is 85% done.

Total number of words for all the stories combined is 92400, which compares with Mutabilis at 69000 - so it's quite a collection! 8) :D

Can folks send me their intros to their stories in text format (.txt) via email. It will make my job easier to incorporate them. Please do this as soon as you can. With a following wind I can get this ready prior to Chrimbo.

Cheers,

Drew.

Formatting complete! If I can encourage authors to get their blurbs to me asap, I'll include.

Cheers,

Drew.

Is the cover competition still open on this one? I'd like to have another bash at a cover if it is.

Yup, I'll rejuvenate that in a bit - separate thread I think!

Drew.
