...sigh. I doubt there actually are working drivers for me then...
Hm, do you think that those CRLF line endings might be behind the problem?

Almost certainly....
Suggest you get hold of Notepad++ and use that to edit plist files. There is a version for both Mac and PC I believe....

Absolutely... they cause no end of problems when they get into Oolite configuration files. As I suggested, start with clean versions, and ONLY use Notepad++ or Wordpad to edit Oolite configuration files. (Notepad++ has many other useful features which make it the editor of choice) The copy I posted at my box.net account is clean and only has LF line endings. Save a copy as both Resources/Config/keyconfig.plist and /AddOns/keyconfig.plist After which, only edit the copy in Addons. That way you'll always have a clean copy in Resources/Config/ to fall back on.

Actually got it working, and I suspect that the problem was actually totally elsewhere. I mapped the injectors on \ (it is near left shift on my keyboard), and forgot to remap ASC to different key, AND I just changed the config to "\" while it should be "\\"
That is worth a facepalm.

Don't be in too much of a hurry to give up.. We have lots of members with ATI graphics and we may well be able to help you improve things, even if we can't get a 100% fix. Besides, ATI may well release another update which fixes things. The 9.x series were a big improvement until they took a step backwards with 9.11 and 9.12.
What model of ATI chip do you have, and is it in a PC or a laptop?

Good to hear you got it going.. but rest assured, those parsing errors were because of the CRLF thingy.. if you ever edit a gamesave file, the same issue can bite you on the rear too..

Ok. It's not in the supported chips list, but you
may still be able to use my tutorial to good effect, if you can get your hands on some 9.10 drivers. See
Tutorial - Modding the latest ATI/NVIDIA drivers for laptops
I don't know if it will work for you, but it's worth a shot, perhaps.

Yeah emacs is good. And has been around from the beginning of the computer age!
I remember using MicroEmacs back in the day!
