Hi Ramirez!
Sorry for the delay, but I was quite busy the last days.
I checked Commodore Delaney's briefing once again and after I launched my ship a message was displayed in the twinkling of an eye before it vanished. Unfortunately the message does not show up in my ship's logs.
Since there is a load of different messages to read after launch it is possible that the player does not see the relevant messages.
Btw. I played a little bit around since I still have the choice to collect the package outside the station or not.
I I collect the package a small triangle is displayed in my pylon-bay and I can use it.
That's Ok so far.
But if I ignore the package and don't pick it up I still get the message "Radio Bomb installed" after a while but the package does not show up in my pylon-bay.
So there seems to be a little bug in your script.
Btw. is it possible to trigger the radio bomb in a rather discreet fashion close to Bodarenko's ship without getting fugitive status?

So I've found the escape capsule sending SOS. Trouble is I'm playing in an ASP with no fuel scoop, so can't pick it up. Does this mean I'm stuck? Is it not possible to complete TD in an ASP?

Yes, there are a few places in the mission where you'll need to pick stuff up, so you'll need to change ship and get a fuel scoop fitted. Though the Asp is a good military ship it's quite limited in other areas, and in this mission you need to be prepared for the unexpected.
The escape pod should still be there if you go back later on.

Aaagh - had just made it iron ass as well (Military shields, Navy energy unit etc.) Had been enjoying playing with it after flying around in a Boa Cruiser making money. Well I suppose at least I made enough cash that I'm not that bothered about losing money trading ships at the moment! Back to a Cobra then...
Thanks for the help.

I seem to be stuck rescuing this ambassador from the commie police. I went to the system, saw the message that the transporter received undocking clearance, got held up a little by Kaks until I had enough and blasted him with an energy bomb
and then went straight to the astromine penalty facility to intercept the transporter.
It never showed up. So I went to the main station without encountering it, docked, didn't get a message, left again, went back to the astromine aain, still no transporter, docked, got no message, left again... and now I'm waiting outside but nothing is happening, no ship approaching...
When I first went to the astromine I saw some commie police vessels but they all seemed pretty normal, should I have shot those?
What am I missing?
Thanks in advance for your help...

The ambassador is travelling in a communist limousine with a police escort. It should appear as a 'D' beacon on the Advanced Space Compass.
When you first enter Raceedat, the ambassador's ship leaves the main station and heads towards the prison. If you fly towards the prison and then set a course to the station you should be able to intercept it.
If you leave the system while this is going on, the game will assume the ambassador has been delivered safely to the prison, and you'll be put on another branch of the mission.

OK, thanks, this helped me to find the prisoner transport.
However, I'm not sure I rescued the ambassador now: I intercepted the ship (which was way out in space together with the escorts btw), shot it down and collected the rescue capsule. Then I made my way to the hoOpy casino meeting point via an inbetween planet. There, the mission prose said that I leave the ambassador with my ship and make my way to the casino, but in the dialogue with that business guy I meet there I tell him I don't have the ambassador and am sent across the galaxy to meet Delaney. The mission screen (2nd page of ship manifest) also still says I have to rescue the ambassador...
So there is at least a contradiction between the mission screen and the first paragraph of the mission prose...
I'll make my way to Delaney now and hope for the best

D'oh! Looks like I did some lazy copying and pasting, and so both versions of the text start with you leaving the ambassador in the ship and heading to the casino.
The mission description on the manifest screen should change once you've been debriefed by Delaney.

I seem to be stuck again... I scooped the radio bomb, made my way to the Colonel's system, and planted the bomb on his ship. At the time when I scooped the bomb, it told me that it is installed now, however I did not have a free pylon at the time. Plus, it looked like cargo anyways. After reading through this thread I hoped that it would still work if I made space for the trigger device now, but upon leaving the station my 4th pylon is still empty
Any ideas? I don't collect old save games...
Thanks in advance

... I just tried to kill him conventionally. He preferred to commit suicide though and raced straight into the planet
The mission screen still says I have to eliminate Colonel Bodarenko...

Eventually I received news flashes that matters went ahead and I finished the mission. A little bit confusing, but yeay
Thanks for a very entertaining mission despite the quirks!

Sorry for the confusing bits - the new scripting engine handles these things much more smoothly but I haven't translated this OXP yet. Glad you enjoyed the mission though.

Hmm. What am I supposed to discover during the misjump? I don't know about others, but I ran into a huge Thargoid fleet, including a gigantic carrier worth 2000+ credits. I think I polished them all off, at the cost of three quirium mines and a whole lot of damaged equipment, but upon return to the source planet, nothing at all happened.

Do you have some Thargoid-based addons installed? You might want to remove them for this section of the mission otherwise interplanetary space might be a bit busy (not to mention dangerous!).
When you exit from the misjump check the scanner; among the roving Thargoids you should see a white blip that you'll need to investigate.

Yeah, I found the escape capsule. It was a bit difficult to catch it before the quirium mines did, but eventually I managed it.
