Hats off to DDS minus the Drew to be honest. They did all the hard work, all I did was chuck a bit of my doggerel in their direction!
Cheers,
Drew.
Ah, but if you hadn't written about the Tionisla Chronicle in Status Quo and Mutalibis then that little thought would have sat in the back of mind and mingled with my old idea for snoopes.gal and then when Svengali presented me with an opportunity to do something with a LH2-lite and showed me Disemebodied's stunning art work...

Thanks. I don't know why I had switched it off, but probably to test something and forgot switching it off afterwards.

Very nice oxp indeed. Does one thing, and it does it extremely well!
Thinking about the mission screen RFC, we'll try not to break too many things in 1.74... (aiming for 0 breakages, hopefully we'll reach that target without too many problems).
Sadly, you might have underestimated the public's appetite for 'proper' journalism. Personally, I'm already looking forward to news for the other charts!

I've started - but there's this pesky RL(tm) thing at the mo' and a household full of sickly children (and me)

Thanks Kaks - I'm very pleased too. Disembodied's pics are still the best, a lot of the used elements in Snoopers background images are from Disembodied and Drew and even if Drew, Disembodied or DaddyHoggy says he hasn't done so much - forget it. Shameless lies. Read the texts, watch the pics, hehe - crazy guys - and the reason why we've had a lot of fun

Oh - we have already talked about it (from the very first beginning), so no, not underestimated. And DaddyHoggy already has some secret plans, but I won't tell you anything about it. Never ever. I'm not so chatty. Really. It will keep us young and active for the next 2325 years - hehe.

Nurse Hesperus! We need a little trumble - one for each of them to keep them happy!

I resemble that remark!
Nevertheless - those are my principles.... and if you don't like them.... I've got some more.
Cheers,
Drew.

@DH or anyone?
4 days & >60 jumps (inc a Gal jump back to G1) since d/l Snoopers & not a single news report.
I've flushed the cache (hold shift) & double checked the oxp file is in the right folder!!!
Any ideas how I can prove its working?
Running 1.73.2 on a macbook pro & leopard OS.
All other oxp's(too many to mention) run fine.
missing out

Only 4 days? You mean in RL or game?
Tivva wrote:Any ideas how I can prove its working?
Sure. Change snoopers.js line13
Code: Select all
this.logging = true; this.audio = true; this.extraA = true; this.sliderA = 10; this.sliderB = 0; this.sliderC = 2; if(this.logging) log(this.name,this.name+': mV:'+missionVariables.snoopers_CRCNews);
And try again. Jump to the next system and dock at system main station. If it's not working, try to fly a bit around (1 day more) and repeat this procedure. The default setting is 25 days with a chance of 20%.

Thanks for the quick reply Svengali
Svengali wrote:Only 4 days? You mean in RL or game?
RL- Maybe I didn't give it long enough to kick in?
I have a save game from before the d/l I can cross check game time..

Is it your standard resolution? Or have you rescaled the window?
The positioning of the rotating logo looks a bit strange. I've tested it with different screen resolutions and have seen that the positions are mixed up when the window gets rescaled. And there is not much we can do to avoid problems with non-standard resolutions.
But good to know that this works for you now. Have fun .-)
