Docking is not harder, we are just older and slower.
Then again I remember my first tries on the bbc. Took ages to learn how to dock well enough not to start again.

Happy hunting

Hi Alex.

Docking is a skill you have to maintain as well. You often get your Docking Computer shot away, among other things.

Or we could follow Frontier and give a range of pre-typed messages for the player to choose from. These messages can vary according to the current condition ie green, yellow, red etc. Maybe the nearby ships can respond when a message is sent and they can help as well as attack you.

Oh yes, welcome to the board jimdickin! We're both juniors in the forum!

Well, if you want to have that, it's already possible to create this sort of functionality via oxp - you could check if the market screen is pressed in flight, and if the player has got a suitable ship targeted, you can show a mission screen with all the relevant 'talk' options included...

If there's no target, or the target is unsuitable ( rocks don't really talk back, honest) you can just let the player go through to the normal market screen! :)

Time permitting, I might even do a proof-of-concept oxp ...
