I just had a chance to find out what a hackintosh is. Well, as per Apple's license agreement for Mac OSX, paragraph 2:
2. Permitted License Uses and Restrictions.
A. Single Use. This License allows you to install, use and run one (1) copy of the Apple Software on a single Apple-labeled computer at a time. You agree not to install, use
or run the Apple Software on any non-Apple-labeled computer, or to enable others to do so.
This License does not allow the Apple Software to exist on more than one
computer at a time, and you may not make the Apple Software available over a network where it could be used by multiple computers at the same time.
Running OSX on non-Apple computers is in violation of the OSX license agreement and therefore illegal. Please refrain from discussing such matters here.

Id like to try and preempt any discussion related to:

1) arguing over the definition of Apple labled (I stuck an aple sticker on my dell, now its "apple labelled")
2) enforceability of such licenses or conditions
3) anything else we might think is relevant to why hackintoshes arent illegal

I have seen this time and time again on various boards I read, and I do hope that we here are sensible enough to understand the wishes of The Management, and will not get into any legal silliness.

I'll say that hackintoshes may or may not be legal... end of discussion?

@wackyman465: Just in case you missed reading two posts above yours, allow me to drive the point across again:
2. Permitted License Uses and Restrictions.
A. Single Use. This License allows you to install, use and run one (1) copy of the Apple Software on a single Apple-labeled computer at a time. You agree not to install, use

And THIS is the end of the discussion about it. I hope it is clear enough.

Read the discussions on the osx86 forums... there's definitely some questionableness of the legality of apples EULA.. but, as per your wishes, I won't discuss it here.

Oh. I've just noticed that my link's been removed. On a forum dedicated to a game which flagrantly rips off the intellectual property of David Braben and Ian Bell without paying them a penny in royalties, we're suddenly getting our knickers in a twist about Apple's EULA. Unbelievable.

What parts of 'off-topic' and 'end of discussion' did you fail to understand?

We're trying to be as friendly as we can while protecting ourselves from the fed.
